Before the operation of North- East Line (Line NE) of Singapore metro, a proiect named "Art in Transit" was developed by Singapore Land Transports Authority. 19 local artists were invited to design artworks for 16 stations of the Line NE, with considering the culture background and the interior decoration of each station. The program combined the transit architecture with public art very well. Through the site investigation in all stations of Line NE, the design features of Singapore metro stations are analyzed in the present paper based on architecture and interior design. For example, the space distribution is various; the commercial activities are abundant, and the interior design emphasizes the city's history and local characteristics. These fcatures may be helpful for the construction of metro stations in China.
