Theoretical Research of the Service Radius of Public Library Based on the Service Function of Public Library

公共图书馆是城市公共服务系统的重要组成部分,而服务半径是衡量公共图书馆在物理空间上服务范围的重要指标。文章从城市规划的空间角度,引入了该学科的相关基础理论以奠定公共图书馆服务半径讨论的理论基础。为了清晰地认识公共图书馆服务半径的概念,从图书馆的服务功能角度将服务半径划分为常态半径、偶然半径和虚拟半径,使得服务半径具有了更深的理论和现实意义,从而为公共图书馆实现有效的服务提供理论支撑。

Public library is a important part of urban public -service system, and the service radius of public library is a indispensable index applied to measuring the service -area of public library.This paper introduces concerned theories of urban plan-ning into the library and information science.The service radius of public library is established on these fundamental theories.The paper puts forward three concerned theories so as to make the reader know the service radius of public library more.And these con-ceptions provide the theoretical basis for the realistic job.
