民办本科高校的竞争对象与发展方向分析

Analysis of the Main Competitors and Development Direction of Non-governmental Undergraduate University

我国民办本科高校大部分由民办专科院校升本和独立学院转设而来。作为民办高校中办学层次较高的学校,民办本科高校成长之初就伴随着多方竞争。在生源市场有限和高等教育选择类型多样的背景下,分析民办本科高校的多种竞争对象并寻找最主要的竞争对手,显得非常必要。文章运用SWOT模型,分析民办本科高校与主要竞争对手的内外部因素,用象限定位民办本科高校的发展优势、劣势、机遇和威胁,为改进民办本科高校发展方向、提高竞争力提供建议。

The majority of non-governmental undergraduate universities in China were transformed from non-governmental community colleges and independent colleges. At the higher levels of non-governmental institutions of higher learning,they have suffered increased competitions since their first establishment,especially with limited student enrollment market and diversified selection of higher education. It becomes necessary to analyze the multiple competitors for non-governmental undergraduate universities and to find out the main ones. Using the SWOT mode,this paper analyzes the internal and external factors for non-governmental undergraduate universities and other major competitors. Quadrant is applied to position the development strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats for non-governmental undergraduate universities,and to provide suggestions to improve their development direction as well as enhance their competitiveness.
