Considering the unique physica geography and traffic conditions, the state paid high attention to electrical development in Tibet. After the Third Tibet Work Conference on Tibetan Affairs was held in the central government in 1994, the state greatly increased input on Tibetan power construction. The national electricity system affords much necessary support and financial aid for Tibet in the areas of development planning, construction funding, technical transformation, production running, operation management and human resources.
