An Analysis of the Elements affecting the Choices of Translation Works in Guilin Cultural City from 1938 to 1944

桂林抗战文化城时期,文学和翻译事业都得到很大的发展,其中翻译作品量多质优。文章从翻译工作者所处的时代背景、人文环境、社会责任感和审美情趣等方面进行分析,认为他们对译作的选择主要是为满足战时社会和时代的需要。

From 1938 to 1944 Guilin Cultural City was in a special historical period when its literature and translation developed prosperously. This thesis tries to analyze the elements that choices of the translation works during that time. It believes that their choices were affected the translators to meet the needs of the society and the times.
