《折狱新语》是我国现存明代唯一的判词专集,所收判词虽属实用文书,却极富文学性,如它善于建构形象、多用积极修辞、风格幽默风趣等,但又不以牺牲实用文体的清晰逻辑和实用功能为代价,而是在丰赡的文学性和法律逻辑性之间实现了平衡。

The Sentence Language Collection is the only judgment collection in the Ming dynasty which still exists up to now .Although it is a practical document work, it has literary characteristics, such as the building of images, use of active rhetoric, humorous style, etc.It has not only clear logic and practical function but also rich literary characteristics and legal logic .
