The matchmaker plays a important role in the Liang Shan Yi nationalities＇ marriage.So it is extremely necessary to research the function and effect of the matchmaker in Yi minorities＇ marriage,especially valuable for the standard research of the gift money given by the Yi nationalities＇ marriage custom in Liang Shan.This essay states the definition of the matchmaker,function and the effect of it,showing that the matchmaker who is not only the eyewitness of Yi nationalities＇ marriage culture,but also the inheritor of its traditional culture.
