摘要
教师提问是英语课堂上师生交流互动,保障学生语言能力发展的重要教学手段。英语课堂教师提问有着组织教学和课堂管理的功能。语言课堂提问几种常见的分类体系为基于语言形式的提问分类,基于提问的认知水平的分类,Long和Sato的提问分类和Thompson的提问分类。英语课堂教师提问时应当注意课堂提问的呈现方式,课堂提问的多样性和逻辑性,课堂提问的公平性,课堂提问的等待时间,课堂提问的教师反馈方式。大学英语课堂上教师应当汲取前人的研究成果的精华,掌握有效的课堂提问策略,提高教学质量。
Teachers' questions in English class guarantee the communicative interaction between the teacher and students and help enhance students' language competence. Teacher questioning behavior in English class can help organize the teaching processes and manage the class. The common categories of teachers' questions are questions based on the language forms, questions based on the cognitive level, Long & Sato's classification of questions and Thompson's classification of questions. English teachers should pay attention to the way of presenting questions in class, the variety and logic of questions, the fairness of questioning in class, the proper wait time after questioning, and the way of feedback. College English teachers should extract the essence of the previous research findings on teacher questioning behavior and have a good command on the effective questioning strategies, which can help improve the English teaching and learning in college English class.
