大学英语写作能力是大学英语教学大纲里强调培养的四种能力之一,如何提高大学生大学英语写作能力历来是教育者探讨的重要课题,本文试图从美学视角来重新审视写作教学,用美学理论来阐释写作过程和写作本质实质是一种审美取舍和审美体验,这种取舍和体验即是大学英语写作审美本质。同时也对大学英语写作教学提出一些建议和改进意见。

English writing ability is one of four abilities that is emphasized in the College English syllabus, thus how to improve English writing ability has always been an important topic educators explore. This article attempts to reexamine the teaching of writing and explain the nature of writing process from an aesthetic perspective. It is concluded that writing is essentially an aesthetic choice and aesthetic experience, which are the essence of English Writing. Some suggestions on college English writing are put forward.
