摘要
DRM(Digital Rights Management,数字版权管理)是一种广受争议的技术,面对争议,数字音乐行业取消了DRM,而电子书却依然维持着DRM.作者通过博弈建模方法,分析了数字内容行业的DRM策略,认为决定供应商DRM策略的因素包括静态因素和动态因素;而音乐CD光盘分销渠道的存在,是促使数字音乐行业取消DRM的重要原因.文章还探讨了电子书DRM的前景,认为电子书行业取消DRM的可能性将不断增大.
Digital rights management (DRM) is a controversial technology abandoned by digital music industry while still kept by e-book industry. Utilizing the game-theoretic model, the present paper examines the DRM policy of digital content industry and finds that several static and dynamic factors determine suppliers' DRM policy. In the case of the digital music, the music CD is the key factor to promote suppliers to discard DRM. This paper also discusses the prospect of e-book DRM and concludes that e-book DRM would be ultimately abolished.
