明末丛林寙败之考辨与析疑

The Textual Research and Analysis of the Doubts concerning the Buddhist Corruptions in the late Ming Dynasty

明末佛教丛林窳败,积重难返,一方面佛教僧团内部修持不力,持戒混滥;另一方面国家设教未尽善,政令反复无常。揆诸史实,国家不恰当的宗教管理方式正是导致明末佛教丛林窳败的直接原因。

The severe corruptions in the circle of Buddhists are hard to be changed in the late Ming Dynasty （1368- 1644） for the two reasons-one is the ineffective spiritual practice of Buddhists and the misuse of Buddhist disciplines and the other, the capriciousness of governmental decrees because of the incomplete system of that dynasty. By referring to the related historical facts, it is known in the paper that the inappropriate mode of the national religious management is directly contribu- tive to the cattse of the corruptions in the circle of Buddhists at the end of the Ming Dynasty.
