民办高校英语专业阅读课优化教学探讨

A Discussion on English Majors’ Reading Course in a Private University

由于受到传统的阅读教学方法和教学理念的制约,民办高校英语专业阅读课还存在着诸多问题。主要表现为教师的教学方法陈旧,缺乏对新理论新方法的研究,学生阅读速度较慢,缺乏阅读技巧,阅读的质和量都存在不足。解决这些问题的主要措施是：摒弃＂一言堂＂教学,鼓励学生＂自上而下＂阅读,培养跨文化意识;课堂教学中增强语篇教学,培养学生的语篇意识;实施任务型教学,有意识地进行快速阅读速度训练;加强阅读策略教学,注重推理分析的阅读过程;运用多种教学资源进行阅读教学,扩展学生的阅读视野。

For the limitation of traditional teaching method and teaching idea, the private university has so many problems in English majors＇ reading course. Teachers use outdated methods without studying new theories and latest methods. Most students have problems with both reading speed and reading comprehension. Several measures are taken to solve these problems： giving up teacher-oriented method; encouraging ＂top-down＂ reading style; cultivating cross-cultural awareness; strengthening discourse teaching and training discourse awareness; starting task-based teaching and training speed reading; reinforcing reading strategies; teaching and paying more attention to inferential analysis; making good use of various resources for teaching and expanding students＇ vi- sion.
