农村人口老龄化对居民医疗保健消费的影响——基于中国2002-2012年的省级面板数据

Effects of the Aging of Rural Population on Household Health Care Consumption——Based on the Chinese Provincial Panel Data from 2002 to 2012

中国农村人口老龄化的加剧,使得农村老年人成为社会关注的一大群体,相关问题也得到国家和社会的重视。本文以中国2002—2012年的农村省级面板数据为基础,借助动态面板的广义矩估计(GMM)方法,研究农村人口老龄化对居民医疗保健消费的影响。研究结果显示,农村老年抚养比和老年人口比重均对医疗保健消费存在正向的显著影响,说明当前农村人口老龄化推动了农村居民医疗保健消费的提升。此外,还发现少儿抚养比、人均收入也对医疗保健消费存在正向关系,人均受教育年限与其存在负向关系。

The increase in the aged rural population has made the rural elderly a group of major social concern and issues in relation with it have caught the attention of the state and society. With provincial panel data of rural areas in China in 2002- 2011,this paper uses the method of GMM to study the effects of the aging of rural population on household health care consumption. The results show that the old dependency ratio and proportion of the elderly population have positive significant impact on the health care consumption,which signifies that the aging of the population promotes the increase in rural health care consumption. It is also found that youth dependency ratio and per capita income have positive significance as well while the average years of education is negatively significant in its relationship with health care consumption.
