中国高等教育发展的推动力分析——基于城市化的视角

The Driving Force of Development of Higher Education in China:A Perspective of Urbanization

本文采用动态空间面板数据模型,考察了中国高等教育发展的推动力问题。实证结果表明:城市化进程显著地推动了高等教育的发展;高校教育经费投入对于高等教育的推动力存在着东西部不平衡;中国的工业化进程支持了高等教育的发展;高等教育的发展存在着东部相互带动,中、西部相互竞争的现象。最后,本文认为,城市化不仅实现了人口由农村向城市的转移,也促进了人们思想观念的转变和进步,提高了接受高等教育的意愿。

From a spatial perspective, this paper studies driving forces of higher education in China by dynamic spatial panel data model. Empirical results show that urbanization has significantly prompted the development of higher education. Driving force from higher education funds has the regional imbalance. China＇s industrialization has supported the development of higher education. There are mutual promotions in eastern region and competitions in central and western regions. Finally, this paper points out that urbanization does not only transfer rural population to urban areas, but also contribute to the changes and progress of people＇s ideas, and enhance their willingness to accept the higher education.
