Committee of 100's Historic Contributions to China-US Relations and Unique Role in the New Era

百人会是一个无党派背景、非政治性的美国华人社团,由在美国社会中有影响力与知名度的华裔组成。该社团以"求同存异"为宗旨,以"促进中美发展建设性关系,推进美国华裔全面参与美国社会"为使命。本文简要概括了百人会成立24年以来对中美关系发展的重要贡献,着重阐述了其在新时期的独特作用,并就如何更好地发挥其作用,对中美两国政府提出了相关建设性意见。

The Committee of 100 is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization, all members of which are Chinese Americans who have achieved prominence in a variety of fields. Its mission is to encourage construetivc China-U. S. relationship and to promote the full participation of Chinese Americans in all fields of American life. This paper summarizes the main contributions of the Committee of 100 which has made in the past 24 years and believes that it will play the unique role in the new era. The paper also puts forward proposals for both governments to think about how to make it will play a better role in the future.
