Faculty Development of Higher Vocational Colleges: Status,Problems and Countermeasures

师资队伍建设是教育质量提升的关键要素和前提条件。基于2000年以来相关统计数据,对高职院校师资队伍建设的现状、问题和对策进行了分析和讨论,提出高职院校师资队伍建设问题的主要原因在于认识不到位所造成的制度不完善,必须加快完善教师资格标准和职称评审制度,保证高职院校办学投入和教师培训投入,正确引导专任教师的应用技术研发与创新。

Faculty is the key element and prerequisite for quality improvement of higher vocational education. This article discusses the current situation, problems and solutions to faculty development in higher vocational colleges based on the statistic data on Chinese higher vocational education since 2000. The main reason for problems in higher vocational faculty development lies in the imperfect system caused by lack of shared understanding. Powerful measures should be taken to strengthen it from the aspects of improving teacher qualification standards, guaranteeing the investment in higher vocational colleges and teacher training, guiding teachers to the research and development and innovation of applied technology.
