Research Progress on the Correlation of EMT with Invasion and Metastasis of Esophageal Cancer

上皮-间质转化(EMT)是上皮细胞形态和基因的改变,从具有紧密连接的上皮表型细胞转化为具有迁移和侵袭能力的间充质表型细胞。EMT不仅参与胚胎发育和正常生理,还参与许多病理过程,是肿瘤浸润转移中的重要事件,在食管癌的浸润和转移中发挥了重要作用,与患者的预后密切相关。该文概要回顾了EMT与食管癌浸润转移相关的研究成果,以期为本领域的研究提供一些思路。

Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition （EMT） is the morphologic and genetic change of the epithelial cells, from epithelial phenotype cells with tight connection to ectomesenchymal phenotypie ceils with migration and invasion abilities. EMT not only involves in embryonic development and normal physiology, but also involves in many pathological processes. It is an important event in tumor metastasis, which plays an important role in the invasion and metastasis of esophageal cancer and is closely related to the prognosis of patients. Here is to make a review of the research progress on the correlation of EMT with the infiltration and metastasis of esophageal cancer,in order to provide some reference for future studies.
