Verbal Function of Cross-cultural Pragmatic Vagueness Strategy

简要介绍语用模糊的概念以及会话策略的定义与分类。在中英语料的基础上主要从保留颜面、降低责任、广告宣传、转换角色、制造幽默这五个方面分析探讨了跨文化语用模糊策略的言语功能,以期增强对模糊策略言语功能的系统性认识,全面深入理解语用模糊策略围绕跨文化交际意图展开的本质和规律,从而更好地为跨文化交际服务。

With a brief introduction of the concept of pragmatic vagueness and the definition and classification of verbal strategies, this paper, with the assistance of Chinese and English corpora, mainly discusses and analyses the verbal function of cross-cultural pragmatic vagueness strategies from five aspects： keeping face, reducing responsibility, advertisement, shifting role, making humor, so that the verbal function of pragmatic vagueness strategies can be understood systematically, and a deep understanding of the essence and law that all the pragmatic vagueness strategies are guided by cross-cultural communicative intention can be achieved.
