Eco-translatology holds that the quality of a translated text depends on the degree of multi -dimensional transfor-mation, and the best translation boasts the highest degree of integrating adaptation and selection .When applying eco-translatolo-gy to classical Chinese poetry translation , the translator is required to make an active adaptation and selection on the three dimen-sions of language , culture and communication .This paper dwells on the language dimensional transformation of classical Chinese poetry translation through the agency of transitivity analysis , providing the translator with a visible yardstick and objective refer-ence.
