大学英语学生口语流利性和准确性纵向发展规律研究

Study on Longitudinal Trends of Fluency and Accuracy in College Students' Oral Production

基于自建的历时口语语料库,定量统计分析了大学英语学生口语流利性和准确性纵向发展规律。通过统计分析语速、平均停顿长两项流利性指标,无错误T-单位与全部T-单位之比、平均T-单位内从句数、每百音节更改次数、每百单词错误次数四项准确性指标的数据,发现学生口语流利性和准确性纵向发展呈上升趋势。但受多方面因素影响,学生在最后一个学期口语水平提高缓慢并有下降趋势。本研究对大学英语口语教学和口语测试有一定的启示作用。

Based on diachronic oral English corpus in Harbin Engineering University,it analyzed the longitudinal development trends of fluency and accuracy in college students＇ oral production. Two categories of fluency indices, i. e, speech rate and average length of pause are adopted to measure the fluency of oral production. Ratio of error-free T-unit, subordinate-clauses per T-unit, repairs per 100 syllables and errors per 100 syllables are analyzed to examine the accuracy of oral production. The data shows the fluency and accuracy of college students＇ oral English presents improving trends ,but their oral English level develops very slowly and even falls in the last semester due to various reasons. The investigation provides implication for oral English teaching and testing.
