The Bellarosa Connection, written by Saul Bellow the Nobel Laureate, is of great significance in that it presents Jewish American＇ s attitude to and reflection over the counterpart survivors in Europe. It also portrays an outstanding woman Sorella in a massive shape. This paper aims at decoding the symbolic meanings of obesity, which as a physical feature is repeatedly manifested, from the perspective of Jewish history, ethnic identity and aesthetic judgment.
