Songyu's Major Works Were Completed after Kingdom Chu Moved Its Capital to Huaiyang

宋玉步入文坛在屈原即死之后,当时楚人迁都于陈(河南淮阳),随后又迁至寿春(今安徽寿县),这个时期也是宋玉创作高峰时期。宋玉的主要作品都创作于这一时期。有些作品中的故事可能发生在楚襄王时期,但作品的最后定型却是在考烈王时代。

Songyu entered literary world after Quyuan＇s death when Kingdom Chu moved its capital to Chen（ in today＇s Huaiyang County,Henan Province）,and then to Shouchun（ in today＇s Shou County,Anhui Province）. It＇ s the peak period for Songyu during which he produced most of his master pieces. The stories in some of his works probably occurred during King Xiang＇s time,but his works were set and completed during King Kaolie＇s time.
