The Divine Worship of Qiang Ethnic Folks and Their Communal Life in Qiang Villages——A Case Study of Xiuxi Village

休溪寨的神灵信仰和神灵祭祀与该寨社区生活间的有十分密切的关系。在休溪,由集体祭祀神灵而形成了特有的文化空间,展示了羌民生活的历史过程与现实状态,休溪寨依靠所形成的文化空间结成一个牢固的运行自己的公共逻辑,形成了基本的公共性,使寨子这个不大但复杂的地域中的民众能够生活在一个有序而又和谐的社区中。故而寨子的集体祭祀活动深刻影响民众的行为并造就出休溪寨的社区生活。

In Xiuxi Village,there is a close relation between the communal life of Xiuxi Qiang ethnic folks and their divine worship and customs of offering sacrifice to Gods. Their collective act of offering sacrifice to Gods forms a particular cultural space which reveals the history and current life situation of Qiang folks. Thanks to the space,Xiuxi Village establishes itself a solid private communal community,small but complex,where the local folks live harmoniously and orderly. It can be concluded,therefore,that the collective act of offering sacrifice influences the behavior of the folks profoundly and fosters the communal life of Xiuxi village.
