Nanyang Industrial Exposition——A Witness to the Design Transition in modern China

自1851年水晶宫博览会诞生伊始,以博览会为主要代表的早期会展活动,一度成为了推动设计史发展变革的催他剂和见证者。而西方的博览会热潮亦蔓延到近代中国,1910年南洋劝业会作为洋务运动后期第一次全国性的博览会,其产生的影响无疑是广泛而又深刻的。它不仅是推动近代中国社会转型的中坚力量,更是中国近代设计转型期的直接见证者。

At the beginnning of Great Exhibition of the Industry of all Nations since 1851, Exhibition as Works of the main representative of the early Expro activities, has to be the Catalyst and witness of the reform of Design History. Especially , Nanyang Industrial Exposition was the first national exposition in 1910 ,has a great and profound impact at the late of Westernization Movement . It only the backbone promotion of Chinese is not social transformation,but also the witness to the design transition in modern China .
