This paper,considering the actual work of geographic conditions census and monitoring in Shanghai,focus on analyzes several technical characteristics of the geographical conditions census and monitoring work in Shanghai. Then takes Jia Ding District as an example,introduces the pilot project situation of geographic conditions census and monitoring in Shanghai. Shows the spatial distribution conditions and characteristics of the human elements and buildings in Jiading District. Result verifys the feasibility of technical solutions.
