辽宁建昌县东大杖子墓地2001年发掘简报

The Excavation of the Dong Dazhangzi Cemetery in Jianchang County,Liaoning in 2001

建昌县隶属辽宁省葫芦岛市，地处辽宁省西南部的大凌河上游，东接葫芦岛、兴城市，西邻凌源市，南连绥中及河北青龙县，北靠喀左县及朝阳县，是东北与关内连接的要道之一，交通较为便利。

In October and November 2001, Liaoning Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and other institutions conducted the third term of excavation to the Dong Dazhangzi Cemetery in Jianchang County, which recovered 12 burials （numbered as M16 through M27）. 10 of these burials were earthen shaft pit tombs with earthen mound or stone cairn, and two were only earthen pit graves. The former 10 yielded rich grave goods and the latter two barely had grave goods. The grave goods were mainly bronzes, followed by potteries, jades, etc. The main types were weapons, chariot and horse fittings, vessels, tools, and so on. The characteristics of the unearthed grave goods and the structures and locations of these burials reflected that the dates of these tombs were the early Warring-States Period or slightly later.
