Quality assurance and evaluation in higher education speeded the idea changing of learning and brought about the assessment movement for undergraduate education. This study analyzed the idea changing of student assessment from the perspective of philosophy, pedagogy, and sociology. The analysis results suggested that student assessment within the context of Chinese higher education massification should be aligned with student learning, faculty teaching, and curriculum reform.
