This paper discusses the trends of modern science and technology application in public libraries from the following areas： from infrastructure to system protection,from a closed system to an open system with integration,from local applications to the ＂cloud ＂applications,from artificial management to intelligent management,from manual operation to self-service,from a portal website to multiple platforms,from a single library services to integrated services,and tries to describe the direction of technology application.
