A Brief Study on the Editors and Article Writers of the Peking Magazine

《中西闻见录》是清朝晚期在北京产生的第一份期刊,对该刊的主要编辑人员和作者进行介绍和分析,其中外国作者的文章对西方近代科技在中国的传播,以及中国近代科学观念的产生和发展具有一定的推动作用,而中国作者的文章大多为原创,为当时的晚清社会孕育了一种学术研究和讨论的新气氛.

The Peking Magazine is the first journal published in Beijing in the late Qing dynasty.In this paper,the main editors and article writers of this magazine was made a brief introduction,and the results showed that the articles written by foreign writers play an important role in spreading western modern technology and enhancing the notion of science of Chinese people;the articles written by Chinese writers are mostly of their original thoughts,contributing to the formation of academic atmosphere at the time.
