1993年创立于英国的教职工与教育发展协会(简称SEDA)是一个以"支持和引领教育变革"为使命的专业协会。SEDA是在教师的质量受到广泛关注、英国高等教育政策不断完善、实行开放性协会注册制度等环境下创立的。SEDA能够为英国教师职业的专业化作出重要贡献,是基于其了解并关注会员的多样化需要、专注于发展学习共同体、重视人的发展过程等专业服务定位和价值观。SEDA开展了一系列有关教师发展与教育变革的项目,也逐步呈现其网络化和专业性的特色。SEDA的成功模式为我国教育协会组织发展的网络化、专业性和开放性运作带来了有益的启迪。

The Staff and Educational Development Association referred to as SEDA founded in 1993, is a professioral association with its mission of supporting and leading educational reform. It was set up in a sound environment and condition in UK, such as faculty quality was widely-concerned, the higher education policy was improved, the open registration was brought into the association, and etc. SEDA＇ s contribution to UK faculty professional development is due to the fact that it can understand and take care for the diverse needs of its members, focus on developing learning community and emphasize human development. It carries out a series of programs for faculty development and educational reform, and it gradual ly shows the features of networking and specialization. The successful mode of SEDA has brought the beneficial inspiration for the network, professional and open operation of Chinese educational association.
