This paper introduces the theory contact between electronic design contest and the cultivation plan of Electronic Information Science and Technology specialty. Combined with the coupling relationship between the training program and the practical application ability of students in Department of Electronic,and according the training program, provides the practical needs of meeting the transformation of colleges and universities to the application-oriented. Combined with the experience of electronic design contest and the understanding level to the training program reform, discusses in detail the roles that electronic design contest plays in the practice of teaching reform, and in training college students＇ practical ability, innovation ability,comprehensive quality and so on sides.
