The bloom of the birthday words is an important phenomenon in the Southern Song Ci. The prosperity of the birthday words has a close relationship with the birthday custom. Until the southern Song Dynasty,the custom was accepted by all the social class. The birthday custom with the political elements influences the creation of the birthday words directly,such as content,theme and emotional tone. There is a same characteristic of entertainment in the birthday custom and Ci,and it causes the prosperity of the birthday words.
