On Criticizing and Innovating Chinese Criminology Textbook——Viewed from American Classic Criminology Textbook

我国犯罪学本科教材存在理论知识不全面、基本概念不准确和结构体系不完整等缺陷。以美国犯罪学家拉里·西格尔的《犯罪学》为例,具体分析其内容和特色,探寻其可为我国借鉴之处,我国犯罪学教材的革新应当注重知识更新和专业化,构建完整的学科架构和理论体系,立足国际视野,敢于善于理性批判,注重形式革新。

There have been some flaws in our undergraduate textbook of criminology, such as the theoretical knowledge is aged, the basic concept is inaccurate, the structural system is incomplete and so on. The essay analyzes the contents and features of the book of Criminology written by Larry J. Siegel which has been published its llth version with the purpose of learning from it. In order to reform our traditional criminology textbook, we should emphasize knowledge update and professionalization, construct complete discipline architecture and theory system, criticize rationally base on an international perspective, and lay emphasis on innovation of the forms, etc.
