摘要
个人的自我完善是一种积极自由的追求,个体的完善离不开全体社会成员的完善,对国家中共同善的追求和对全体成员公共利益的关注便是一种积极的国家观。T·H·格林所秉承和倡导的这种积极国家观不是对个体受教育自由的限制与压抑,而是为了实现个人利益与国家共同体利益的和谐发展与良性互动。如何理解国家与教育的关系以及国家行使怎样的教育职能来促进教育公益性的实现,是T·H·格林的积极国家教育职能观带给我们的反思与启示。
Individuals' serf-improvement is the pursuit of positive freedom, and the improvement depends on the perfection of all social members. The pursuit of common good and the attention to the public interests are a kind of positive view on the state. This positive national view held and advocated by T·H·Green is not a restriction of freedom of individual education, but for the realization of harmonious development and positive interaction between individual and national interests. What Green has left for us to think about is how to understand the relationship between the state and education as well as how to perform educational functions of the state to promote the realization of public good in education.
