Ethnic Group Relationships and Social Change in Botswana

在非洲很多国家里,少数族群和土著人民的生存状况是非常紧迫和严重的问题。长期受英国统治与影响的博茨瓦纳,在独立之初即确立了单一民族国家的治国方略,但这并不符合博茨瓦纳的现实国情。本文在全面系统介绍博茨瓦纳族群关系的历史社会背景基础上,描述当今博茨瓦纳的族群冲突与矛盾,并分析背后的逻辑,从族群互动的角度理解博茨瓦纳的社会变迁。

In many African countries,the living conditions of ethnic minority groups and aboriginals are very serious and urgent problems.The goal at independence was to build a mono-nation state in Botswana,a model found in most former British colonies,which is not suitable for the national conditions.This paper descrbies the conflicts between majority and minority groups and analyzes the reasons on the basis of the social and historical background of ethnic group relationship.The paper aims at understanding the social changes in Botswana from the perspective of ethnic interaction.
