The paper indicates the features of the municipal engineering construction, analyzes the factors affecting the construction safety, and points out some measures for publicizing safety education, enhancing design safety controls, ensuring materials quality, and improving safety sys- tem by combining with practice, so as to realize the economic and social benefits of municipal construction.
