还“陌生”以陌生:“陌生化”诗学对文学翻译的启示

Leaving the “Defamiliarized”Unfamiliar:Poetics of Defamiliarization and Literary Translation

俄国形式主义者针对日常语言使用的自动化倾向提出了"陌生化"的诗学主张,认为艺术的技巧在于使对象变得陌生,使形式变得困难,以此来增强艺术体验的难度与时间长度。在形式主义者眼中,"陌生化"了的艺术形式具有特殊的美学价值。在文学翻译实践中,译者应以"陌生化"诗学为指导,对传统文学翻译"重内容轻形式"的做法予以重新审视,以"陌生化"翻译"陌生化",在译文中忠实呈现原文的形式,使译文形神兼具,做到形式与内容的完美结合。

In respect to the automatization of everyday language use,the Russian formalists puts forward the poetics of defamiliarization,holding that the techniques of art should made the object strange and the form difficult to protract artistic perception. Therefore,the defamilarized forms are of special aesthetic significance in their eyes. In consequence,literary translators should rethink the outweighing of content over form in traditional literary translation under the guidance of such a poetics,and reproduce the original form in the target language to achieve equivalence both in form and content.
