This paper deeply reveals the characteristics of electric power enterprises related carbon emissions and carbon emission reduction potential, and electric power enterprises in low carbon economy trend of development from two angles of macroscopic and microscopic characteristics and development conducted a comprehensive analysis,for the development of electric power technology under the background of low carbon are discussed, the main problems facing the implementation of low carbon power related technology research and development process in China is discussed, and puts forward some effective solutions to these problems.
