摘要
揭示学科产生、演化和消亡的规律是研究者们一直以来努力的目标。这些规律可以为学科发展趋势的预测提供参考信息,指导科研人员的选题,对于资源分配、学科发展规划的制定等也具有重要意义。本文提出一种基于Agent的学科演化模型,其中学科的产生和演化是由作者合作网络中社区结构的演化驱动的。模型中包含三个元素,作者、文献和学科,演化机制分为作者选择、知识传播和学科演化三部分。实验结果表明,本文提出的模型可以很好的解释实际观察到的学科、作者和文献之间的若干关系模式,以及合作网络的若干特性,揭示了作者交互信息在学科演化中的重要作用。
Uncovering the patterns of the birth, evolution and decline of disciplines has always been an endeavor of researchers. The patterns are of critical importance for providing information about the prediction of discipline evolution, guiding the selection of research topics, allocating resources and planning toward discipline development. Here we propose an agent-based model, in which the birth and evolution of disciplines follow the evolution of community structures of co- authorship networks. There are three elements in the model including author, paper and disciplines. The mechanisms include author selection, knowledge diffusion and discipline evolution. The results show that the model could explain a number of stylized facts about the relationships between disciplines, authors and papers, and the characteristics of co-authorship networks, which provide strong support for the key role of author interactions in shaping the evolution of disciplines.
