清代温州海潮灾害考述

A Review of Wenzhou Tide Disaster in the Qing Dynasty

海潮灾害对人类生命和财产安全构成巨大威胁。温州东濒大海,多受台风影响,是海潮灾害频发区。清代温州多爆发风暴潮灾,集中于夏秋两季,且具有突发性,破坏性大。海潮灾害危害很大,不仅吞噬百姓生命,毁坏房屋,而且破坏农业、盐业、渔业,引发一系列次生灾害。清代温州对海潮灾害的救援主要依靠政府和民间社会力量。

Tide disaster poses a huge threat to human life and property. Located near the sea in its eastern area, Wenzhou is affected greatly by the typhoon, and is a region with quite a lot of tide disasters. In the Qing Dynasty, Wenzhou underwent a few of tide disasters concentrated mainly in the summer and autumn. They usually came unexpectedly with great destructiveness. With great harm, the tide disaster not only claimed people＇s lives, de- stroyed their houses, but also did great harm to the agriculture, salt industry and fishery, which caused a series of secondary disasters. The rescue of Wenzhou tide disaster in the Qing Dynasty mainly relied on the government and the society.
