摘要
大学英语等级考试是大学英语教学的指挥棒。近几年考试的改革力度加大,翻译题型的改进和难度的加大意味着大学英语教学要对翻译教学产生足够的重视。本文以2013年12月大学英语6级考试翻译新题型为突破口,分析和探究了考生考试过程中在词、句、篇章等层面所暴露出的一些问题和原因,进而提出改进大学英语翻译教学的几点措施,希望藉此推动大学英语教学改革。
China' s College English Test (CET) functions as the conducting baton for its college English teaching. The test reform in recent years has been intensified and the translation section has been designed in a more challenging way, which means more attention should be given to translation teaching. This paper studies the candidates' translating answers to the test taken in December, 2013, analyzes the translating problems and causes from the perspective of wording, sentence making and text organization and gives some suggestions on improving translating pedagogy for non-English majors, hoping to give some hints on improving college English teaching.
