Texture is an important representation of urban spatial morphology. This article takes the urban design project in Yunfeng Mountain culture and tourism district in Laizhou as an example, approaching from the texture perspective, talking about the way to extract spacial pat ern of the original texture, to plan the land use according to control ing factors, to rebuild the old texture in modern space, etc. It thoroughly explore the possibility and strategy of texture manipulation.
