Liu Xinyuan was known as one of the most famous ceramic archaeologist across the world. Unfortunately, he was died of the disease in November 4th 2013. Liu Xinyuan＇s life story, his personality, hobbies, academic attitude research method and his contribution to the field of Chinese ancient ceramic research was introduced in this paper.
