Shao Yiwens's Editology Research and Contribution

邵益文是我国编辑学研究的重要参与者、推动者、组织者,是我国最早投入编辑学研究的几个人之一。他提倡"一切为了读者"的编辑观,认为编辑以读者为中心就要为读者打算,要事事处处为读者着想;他倡导编辑活动的"二优律",坚持以优选、优化为手段分析编辑活动的基本矛盾;他注重编辑主体的研究,强调编辑在社会主义精神文明建设中的作用;他重视编辑学理论研究与学科建设,主编了我国第一部以普通编辑学命名的专著,推动了普通编辑学研究的深化。他注重编辑学研究成果的梳理和总结,助推了编辑学研究的发展和繁荣。他还在编辑概念的界定、编辑出版教育研究、编辑学的学术交流等多个方面功绩卓著。

As one of the earliest practitioner in editology, Shao Yiwen is an important participant, promoter, and organizer in the development of this discipline in China. He advocated an All-for Readers concept in editing, thinking that editors must do their works with readers in their mind. He also advocated Two Optimal Principles in editing activity, pointing out that the basic contradiction of editing activities is between the Optimal Law and the means of selecting the best and optimizing it. He attached importance to the research on editing subject, emphasizing the role of editing in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization. He laid emphasis on the research and construction of editological theory, published the first Ordinary Editology in China, deepening the ordinary editology research. He focused on the systemizing and summarizing of editology research results, promoting the development and prosperity of editology research. He also contributed enormously in many other aspects, such as the definition of the concept of editology, the educational research of editing and publishing, the academic communication of editology and so on.
