Five-pillar four- melon structure building, which has a long history of civilization as well as the aesthetic？ characteristics, is the main style of principle rooms of dwelling houses for the Tujia ethnic minority in Guzhou province. Tujia has a strong inheritance of their folk-customs when choosing building locations, materials and worshipping ancestors. The decoration, with strong senses of aesthetics and applicability, is full of artistic expressions, such as ,sculptures, paintings and decorative designs.And they make them as the most outstanding representives of Tujia buildings.
