Study on the English Translation of Words Loaded With Religious Culture in Gesar

少数民族文化"走出去",英译是主要的传播媒介。在藏族英雄史诗《格萨尔》为世界人民熟知的过程中,如何保留史诗中关于藏民族深厚的文化底蕴以及如何忠实于博大精深的佛教思想,是在英译研究中着力研究的重点。从翻译中的文化解读和史诗翻译的历史回顾出发,讨论了《格萨尔》英译中的宗教文化负载词的差异现象,以期对《格萨尔》的翻译传播工作提供借鉴和思考。

English Translating version is the main media to make ethnic culture known to the foreign countries. In the process of sending Gesar world wide,how to be faithful to the original version in ethnic cultural connotations and profound religious thoughts is a difficult problem in this field. This paper attempts to discuss religious cultural differences in English version Gesar in the perspective of cultural context in order to provide references for the translation and spread of Gesar.
