关于“闻”词义演变的探讨

Discussion on the Evolutional Question of ＂Wen＂（闻）

对于“闻”的词义演变问题，在上个世纪五六十年代曾有过较激烈的争论，但时至今日，也仍然是仁者见仁，智者见智。本文利用语义场在词义演变中所发生的变化，对大量文献进行历时考察，认为“闻”的词义确实经历了一个从听觉义向嗅觉义转化的过程，这个过程开始于《韩非子》。论文除了对“闻”的词义的转化过程进行详细地考察外，还对某些方言中有关“闻”所在的义场的特殊现象给予了关注。

Regarding the meaning evolution question of ＂wen＂, which once has had the intense argument in last century the 50＇ s and the 60＇ s. But now, different scholars still have their different points. This article uses the semantic field to observe the change which evolves in the word meaning oc- curs by inspecting to the massive literature. We find that the meaning of word ＂wen＂ （ 闻 ） has experienced truly from the sense of hearing righteousness to the sense of smell righteousness. This process starts in ＂Hanfeizi＂（韩非子）. Besides conversion process of the word ＂wen＂, the paper also pays attention to a special phenomenon in dialects related to ＂wen＂.
