This paper introduces the main protection configuration of the main wiring and the generator-transformer unit in heat-engine plants. To the faults in the processing of a set, the paper analyzes the report of the protection configuration of the generator-transformer unit and the features of fault recorder, and then checks out that the fault comes from the PT ground in the generator outlet, finally finds out the reasons and puts forward relevant countermeasures.
