当代大学生生命价值观中存在的主要问题有：当代大学生思想多元化，缺乏高尚的人生目的，没有明确的奋斗目标，功利化思想严重；受挫能力弱，自杀事件时有发生；无视法律和道德，对他人生命任意践踏。解决当代大学生生命价值观问题的有效途径主要有：加强世界观、人生观、价值观教育和信仰教育，教育广大青年学生树立科学的理想信念；加强受挫教育，树立积极进取的人生态度，培育务实创新的学习精神；塑造一个美好的家庭教育环境，让学生在家庭中健康快乐地成长；开设专门的生命教育课程，唤醒大学生的生命意识；发挥新媒体的作用，构建家庭、学校、社会“三位一体”教育模式。
