基于ESP教学的独立学院大学英语教学改革

The innovation of college English teaching based on ESP teaching

对大学英语教学改革发展方向的讨论进行了分析,区分了EGP教学和ESP教学的不同,以及目前对ESP教学的一些认知误区,指出大学英语教改应该发展ESP教学,真正满足学生需要。通过问卷调查和访谈发现,目前独立学院许多学生对大学英语EGP课程满意度不高,学生学习需求没有得到充分满足。独立学院英语教改要坚持分级教学,以ESP教学作为教改的重点,努力培养一批合格的兼有EGP教师和ESP教师的高校教师队伍。

There was an analysis on the development of college English teaching innovation, a distinction between EGP and ESP teaching and a clarification on the present misunderstanding of ESP teaching. It pointed out that the innovation should carry out ESP teaching, and satisfy the needs of students. Through questionnaire and interviews, it showed that many students in independent colleges are unsatisfied with EGP teaching, and their study needs are not really satisfied. Therefore it proposed that the innovation should carry out graded teaching, focus on ESP teaching, and develop qualified teachers with both EGP and ESP teaching.
